Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Grandma Barb!

I wanted you to know that your family is a fantastic bunch!  Your son Danny and Ellen have a beautiful family.  They are magnificent parents to their daughters Mavis B and Quinn Louise.   Mavis is crushing it at school, and Quinn is an adorable baby with a big appetite. She has auburn hair, blue eyes, and looks like you.  Dan and Ellen are happy; they are working hard and are a great team.

Sumy joined us in Chicago for Thanksgiving this year.  He was a joy to have around the table. He has a kind heart, a beautiful smile, and plenty of stories to share. Sumy won my heart and my Thanksgiving spirit award! I'm hoping that he makes us a new tradition.

Lexy lived in Chicago for a short time, and we were excited to have her close!   However, Tony had more opportunities for them in New York, so she moved back.  They have a beautiful kitten and a puppy!  Lexy is healthy and happy and is a proud doting Aunt to Mavis and Quinn.

I pray every day that God will bless me with extra energy, and the wisdom to be a better grandma for our granddaughters, Mavis B, and Quinn. I was excited that we would be grandma’s together, but God had a different plan. I trust Him, and I know that He needed you more. Please, continue to watch over us and guide us; you are our Angel.

When I see a red cardinal or a field of yellow daffodils, I smile, stop, and listen for you.
I miss you every day.

Love,
Grandma A.

Take time to sit by the Christmas tree and drink tea, with your mother. So grateful for moments like this.

Grandma Wednesday

A tradition on our Thanksgiving table is “grandma’s pretzel-dip.” The kids’ favorite! I am thankful to share my kitchen and this old family recipe with my grandchildren. Next year, I will teach them how to do the stuffing!
May God bless you and your traditions tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving!
